UK VBAC Guidelines
RCOG - “green top” VBAC guidelines
NICE- Caesarean birth
NICE - existing medical conditions
The guidelines are what your healthcare providers should follow for your care. (You can look them up for most conditions or risk factors) These are not the law and you don’t have to follow them. They are not always based on "good evidence" & some hospitals may have specific policies which they implement on top of the guidelines. The RCOG tells you how strong the evidence is for each recommendation with a tick or A being the strongest evidence. Spoiler alert! CTG for VBAC is rated D

Its worth saying that not all research is created equal! There are many hundreds of articles around VBAC, and depending on the type of research their figures may vary a bit. Sometimes research is funded by someone who has a gain from establishing a particular finding. Resources like Sara Wickham, Evidence Based Birth, great birth rebellion & Rachel Reed are great as they also pick apart the methods of a study and make them more user friendly!
